Huge hit for parties and charcuterie boards!
First: preheat oven to 350
In a bowl:
Combine 3-4 tbsp water,
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt (or 3/4 tsp kosher salt),
Forming a thin paste that’s like an off-red beige.
Add 2 cups pecans and toss to coat well.
Layout on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, single layer, spaced if possible.
Cook for 10-15 mins (remove when they start browning quickly. Watch out, they burn FAST.)
Cool, crack into individual pieces. (Tip: cool for 10 minutes, then place into a large Tupperware bowl or leftover container with a lid, then place in the freezer for a few mins. When ready, remove from freezer and shake the container a few times: bam.)
NOTE: inset Pic was pan fried instead of oven baked, I don’t keep too many pics of my nuts handy.
…you’re welcome.
